Happy Anniversary, Buddy!
Today marks YEAR 3 of the Krista/Adam union.  I’m giving it a thumbs up, thus far.  The most welcome addition to our marriage had been, naturally, the embracing of fantasy football by Krista.  She’s diehard about her NFL squad, tenderly nurturing it through sleepless nights, bottles of Gatorade, and nail-biting Sundays.  Now we have bonded like never before…
Okay, that was just to get her riled up a bit.
Really, the best thing about our 3 years of marriage has to be our wee one, Campbell.  She has been a great kid through her first 13 months of post-womb life.  All in all, Camper does well to bring out the best in both of us, which only makes us better spouses.  I’m sure all of this will change when boys come around and she is wearing make-up.
So, in honor of our three years of marriage, I’m offering up my:
TOP 3 REASONS I KNOW CAMPBELL IS OUR DAUGHTER DESPITE THE FACT SHE LOOKS NOTHING LIKE EITHER ONE OF US.
#1 Music
Our girl digggggs her tunes.  Anything with a good beat, she’ll start her own form of dancing or fist-pumping.  It cracks me up every time James Brown comes on or Jimmy Buffet hits the iPod, she begins her own groove session.  Hopefully, she’ll get my famous sense of rhythm.
#2 Clumsiness
Yes, babies develop motor skills slowly.  They are prone to accidents. They have slower reaction times.  BUT CAMPBELL HAS KRISTA AS A MOTHER.   Our house is a constant assault on furniture by various body parts.  Krista kicking the table with her knee.  Campbell slamming fingers in doors.  Food processors slicing Krista’s shins.  Campbell looking back at lights and tipping over onto hardwood floors.  No question, those two did not trip too far from the tree.
#3 Gamer
Perhaps my favorite thing about the wee one is that she doesn’t have a serious bone in her body.  Even amidst a serious temper tantrum, it’s amazing how easily she can start giggling again if you can make a game out it.  Everything is a game to her.  Everything is fun.  She’s laid back and easy going—which about sums up her parents.
Except when it comes to her mom’s fantasy team.

The Big Wazowski=The Big Lebowski+Monsters Inc. (via raylai328)

I found this surprisingly entertaining. I guess I had the Big Lebowski on the brain after Lebowskifest in Louisville a few weeks ago.
